SPECTACULAR DISPLAY OF SPORTSMANSHIP BY VMPIANS OF CLASS XI AT URJA- ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2023!

Vidya Mandir Public School celebrated its Annual Sports Meet- URJA 2023 on 21st December 2023 in the school playground for class XI. The preparations and rehearsals had begun days in advance. It commenced with a balloon raising ceremony after which the school Principal- Mr. Anand Gupta formally declared the sports meet open. It was followed by a March Past in which the class monitors showcased a parade exhibiting discipline, fervour, skills and exhilaration. It was a great spectacle to watch.After a few warm-up exercises, the track events and team sports began. The entire venue throbbed with the unmatched energy and excitement of children participating in events like Hurdle Race, Book Balancing Race, Ball Balancing on Raquet race, Shuttle Run, Badminton, Table Tennis, Carrom, Drag the Ball race and Basket Ball etc. The highlight of the event was the CRICKET MATCH between students and administrative staff in which the players were cheered loudly & excitedly. The loud cheering resonated in the heads of the spectators even after the event ended and the match added vibrancy to the already colourful atmosphere. The sports meet concluded with the Prize Distribution Ceremony in which the school principal Mr. Anand Gupta awarded the academic achievers and winners of the different races & competitions with medals and certificates. The programme turned out to be a huge success and the students were promised many more such grand events in the school to help children display their sportsman skills!
