VIDYA MANDIR CELEBRATES ANNUAL SPORTSMEET- URJA 2023!

Vidya Mandir Public School recently celebrated its Annual Sports Meet 2023-URJA on 22nd March 2023 in the school playground for class XII. The preparations and rehearsal had begun days in advance. It commenced with a balloon raising ceremony after which the school principal Mr. Anand Gupta formally declared the sports meet open. It was followed by a March Past in which the class monitors, sports achievers & academic achievers showcased a parade exhibiting discipline, fervour, excitement and exhilaration. It was a spectacle to watch. After a few warm-up exercises, the track events and team sports began. The entire venue throbbed with the unmatched energy and excitement of children participating in events like Chess, Table Tennis, Carrom, Hurdle Race, Book Balancing Race, Drag the ball race, Ball Balancing on Raquet race, Relay race, Shuttle Run as well as Basket Ball and Volley Ball. The highlight of the event was Tug of war in which the contestants were cheered loudly & excitedly. The loud cheering resonated in the heads of the spectators even after the event ended. Various melodious singing performances also added vibrancy to the already colourful atmosphere. The sports meet concluded with Prize Distribution Ceremony in which the school principal Mr. Anand Gupta awarded the winners of the different
races & competitions with medals and certificates.
